This festive mulled wine is perfect for a cocktail party or holiday buffet. Our Chambourcin is a medium body red, dry wine with a clean finish, taste of cherry, plum and blackberry, full of fruity notes with a dry Chianti character.

1 750 ml bottle of Terhune Orchards Chambourcin wine
4 cups Terhune Orchards Apple Cider
1 cup cranberries, fresh or frozen
¼ to ½ cup granulated sugar
¼ cup orange juice
½ cup Terhune Orchards apples, peeled and diced
1 cinnamon stick
2 slices of fresh ginger
1 lemon

In a small saucepan, over medium-high heat, combine the apple cider, cranberries and sugar until the cranberries begin to pop and soften, about 10 minutes.

Zest the lemon. Cut off the ends and cut off the peel and discard. Thinly slice the lemon flesh.

Transfer the cranberries and liquid to a crockpot and add the wine, orange juice, cinnamon stick, ginger, diced apples and the zest and flesh of the lemon. Warm for an hour or more on low and serve.
