DESCRIPTION:Kite Day is a perfect time to explore the farm during our spring festival – Saturday\, May 2nd & Sunday\, May 3rd – 10:00 am – 5:00 pm. Spring on the farm is one of the most beautiful and exciting seasons. All is ready for the bountiful growing season. Bring your own kite or choose a ready-made kite from the wide selection in the store. Or better yet\, make your own “guaranteed to fly” kite. Whichever you choose\, test fly your kite in our wide-open 10-acre pasture with all the farm animals looking on. \nThe farm will ring with country music and entertainment all weekend. The sheep will be shorn on Sunday and children can take home a piece of real fleece. On Saturday\, the Princeton Morris Dancers will perform traditional May Day dances. Enjoy live music 1-4pm each day: Bakersfield on Saturday and Mike & Laura Band on Sunday. \nTake a pony ride or wagon ride. Get festive with face painting! Join in the fun of old-fashioned games and children’s activities in the barnyard such as hopscotch and hula hoop the horse – have a great time playing on the farm. Our special children’s play houses will be open: the Junior Mechanic Shop and Little Tots Farm Store. Don’t miss taking a hop in the Hippity Hop Corral or taking a duck for a Ducky Race. \nFor all those hungry kite fliers\, we’ll have lots of good country food. The whole family will enjoy Terhune Orchards’ famous apples\, cider\, donuts\, pies\, country chili\, hot dogs\, our own fresh and grilled asparagus\, salads\, soup and all kinds of cookies and goodies. \nAdults can enjoy a visit to our Wine Orchard\, where Terhune’s own 18 varieties of wine are available for tasting under the 100 year old apple trees. Tasting flights\, wine by the glass\, and wine slushies will be available to toast to Spring. \nThere is nothing like spring on the farm. SUMMARY:Father's Day Crafty Make 'n Take
DESCRIPTION:In this Father’s Day program\, our youngest farmers will have hands-on fun making their very own crafty gift. Kids can make their own farm-themed gift and take it home for their dad\, grandpa\, or uncle along with a homemade card. \nAttendees should plan to arrive anytime between 10-11:30am. The event ends at noon. \n$10 per child includes all supplies for both a craft and a card. DESCRIPTION:Join Terhune Orchards as we celebrate “everything blueberry.”  Lots of fun for all ages throughout the weekend. \nTake a stroll around the farm including a visit to our 2-acre Pick-Your-Own blueberry patch (picking is as supplies last and not included in admission). Everyone will enjoy Tuckers’ Tales Puppet Theatre\, with two shows each day. Children will be enthralled with the lively songs and adventures of these characters. NJ Bubble Parties will have two shows each day with bubble fun! Have fun with a special blueberry-themed craft activity. \nAfter you’ve picked your blueberries\, relax and enjoy live local country music (12 to 4 p.m. both days). Enjoy the Sourland Mountain String Band on Saturday\, and the Fry Boys on Sunday. Say hello to our barnyard friends as you play in our children’s play area.  Enjoy children’s activities\, discovery barn and play houses. Don’t miss the hippity hop corral and duckie race. Take a pony ride around our pasture. \nWhen hunger strikes\, visit Pam Mount’s Blueberry Bash Buffet\, full of lots of tasty blueberry treats and homemade goodies – great for lunch or dessert. The Barn Door Cafe will be scooping blueberry ice cream and blueberry slush. Be sure to stop in the farm store for homemade blueberry baked items. \nTerhune’s Winery is open in our historic apple orchard. With plenty of open seating\, enjoy the season with a tasting flight\, glass of wine\, or refreshing wine slushy.
